About M16

The standard US military rifle since Vietnam. Early versions were unreliable in jungle conditions, leading to troop deaths. The design was refined over decades into one of the most accurate assault rifles. The AR-15 civilian version is the most popular rifle in America. Over 8 million M16 variants have been produced.
