About Gatling Gun
The first successful machine gun, hand-cranked with multiple rotating barrels. Could fire 200 rounds per minute. Used in the Spanish-American War and colonial conflicts. Gatling was a doctor who hoped a devastating weapon would make war too terrible to fight. The irony was lost on everyone.
