About Crossbow
Banned by the Pope in 1139 because it allowed a peasant to kill a knight with minimal training. Chinese repeating crossbows could fire 10 bolts in 15 seconds. The bolt could pierce chain mail at 100 meters. Required less skill than a longbow but was slower to reload. The trigger mechanism was a technological marvel.
