About F-35 Lightning II
The most expensive weapons program in history at 1.7 trillion dollars over its lifetime. A single plane costs 80-100 million dollars. Stealth capabilities, advanced sensors, and vertical landing in some variants. Criticized for cost overruns and early problems but now operational in 10+ countries.
