About Chemical Weapons
First used at Ypres in 1915, chlorine gas killed 5,000 soldiers in minutes. Mustard gas caused horrific blisters. The 1925 Geneva Protocol banned use but not stockpiling. Syria used sarin in 2013, killing 1,400 civilians. Over 40 countries had stockpiles before the Chemical Weapons Convention.
